Validation proof and limits

Know what the converter can and cannot prove.

CIUSPT Converter is an emergency pre-FEAP converter for supported existing PDFs. It prepares CIUS-PT XML and runs technical checks, but it is not certified invoicing software, an official eSPap tool, or accounting advice.

79 source XML fixtures pass well-formed XML checks after cleanup, with separate PDF conversion proofs for Recibo Verde and real-layout samples.

15 official CIUS-PT use cases are covered by the CIUS proof suite.

30/30 Recibo Verde samples passed local eSPap Schematron and public FE-AP validation.

Document coverage proof: 14/14 supported scenarios passed public FE-AP validation and 5/5 unsupported scenarios were rejected or blocked before conversion.

Supported before payment

  • Original Portal das Financas Recibo Verde PDFs for supported Fatura-Recibo, Fatura, and Ato Isolado flows.
  • Supported IVA rates currently covered by proof: 23%, 13%, and 6%, including mainland, Acores, and Madeira variants.
  • Supported exemption reason codes currently covered by proof, including M05, M07, and M10 scenarios.
  • Single-document browser conversion where the user reviews extracted fields before checkout and XML download.
  • Proof-covered multi-line service descriptions and commercial discount cases, emitted as separate UBL invoice lines and document allowances.

Blocked or unsupported

  • Scans, screenshots, image-only PDFs, or files where text cannot be read reliably.
  • Third-party accounting/invoicing exports that are not original Portal das Financas PDFs.
  • Credit notes, foreign VAT, or foreign-currency cases until explicitly supported.
  • Complex price/quantity layouts outside the proof-covered service-description and commercial-discount patterns.
  • Requests for tax, accounting, legal, contract, or official submission advice.

What this proof does not prove

  • It does not prove fiscal or accounting correctness of the original invoice.
  • It does not guarantee acceptance by FE-AP, eSPap, AT, or any public entity.
  • It does not make CIUSPT Converter certified invoicing or accounting software.
  • It does not replace user review of the generated XML and submission context.
